Thanks for stopping by! My name’s Luke Holland – I’m a motion graphic designer, videographer and policy nerd. Over the course of more than 20 years (I feel old!) I have bridged the worlds of audiovisual production, on one hand, and economic and human rights policy advocacy, on the other.

On the policy side of things, I’ve worked as a researcher for many well-known organisations, including Amnesty International, Christian Aid, the Center for Economic and Social Rights, and Coalition 2030. Having also set up a specialist production company focused on the particular needs of the public and nonprofit sectors, I have also delivered many successful audiovisual and motion graphic campaigns, for clients including International Crisis Group, Christian Aid, RTE (Ireland’s national broadcaster), Tax Justice Network and Maynooth University.

Anyone who works in the field of policy knows that the nuance and sensitivities of messaging and representation can throw up particular challenges when it comes to high-impact communications. All too often, these issues pose real problems for ‘normal’ creatives. Having worked in both these spheres for many years, however, I am uniquely placed to bring your motion graphics and videos to fruition in a way that satisfies these criteria whilst also advancing your organisation’s strategic goals.

I’d love to hear about your animation or video needs, so please do get in touch! I’m based in Paris and can be reached at luke@insurgentvision.com

ps: oh, and did I mention journalism? I’ve also worked as a reporter and editor for The Irish Times, Channel 4 News, the ITV News at Ten, Al-Jazeera and others… hmmm… multifaceted or just chronically indecisive? I hope it’s the former. Either way, drop me a line and let’s chat!
